What Is REACH?
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), Regulation EC 1907/2006, is the European Union's primary chemical safety legislation. It applies to all chemical substances manufactured in or imported into the EU, including those present in articles (finished products) such as electronic assemblies.
For electronics manufacturers and their customers, the most relevant aspect of REACH is the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) candidate list. REACH requires that any article containing an SVHC at a concentration above 0.1% by weight must be disclosed to customers upon request. The SVHC candidate list currently contains 240+ substances including certain phthalates, heavy metals, and flame retardants.
REACH compliance is mandatory for products sold in the EU and is increasingly required by global supply chain due diligence programmes, including those of major OEMs in the automotive, medical, and consumer electronics sectors.

REACH-Compliant Material Sourcing
All components and materials are sourced from authorised distributors with manufacturer-issued REACH compliance data. Customer-supplied components must include REACH documentation.
SVHC Screening
New materials are screened against the current ECHA SVHC candidate list before approval. Materials containing SVHCs above 0.1% are flagged and alternatives are evaluated.
Material Data Retention
REACH compliance certificates and material declarations are retained for a minimum of 10 years, supporting customer compliance documentation and regulatory audits.
SVHC Candidate List Monitoring
We subscribe to ECHA SVHC candidate list update notifications. When new substances are listed, we assess impact on our approved materials list within 30 days.
