US Tariff Policy — What You Need to Know

Section 301 Tariffs on PCB Assemblies
Printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) imported into the United States from China are subject to Section 301 tariffs. The applicable HTS code for most PCB assemblies is 8534.00 (printed circuits) or 8542.31/8542.39 (electronic integrated circuits). Current tariff rates vary by product classification — we recommend consulting with a licensed US customs broker to confirm the applicable rate for your specific product.
De Minimis Threshold
Shipments valued at or below USD $800 may qualify for the US de minimis exemption (Section 321), which allows duty-free entry. This is relevant for small prototype orders. However, de minimis policy has been subject to legislative changes — please verify current rules with your customs broker.
How We Help Minimize Your Tariff Impact
We provide accurate commercial invoices with correct HTS code suggestions, proper country of origin documentation, and detailed packing lists to facilitate smooth customs clearance. EU Customers
PCB assemblies imported into the EU from China are subject to standard EU customs duties (typically 0–3.7% for most electronic assemblies under Chapter 85 of the Combined Nomenclature) plus VAT. Anti-dumping duties do not currently apply to PCB assemblies. EU customers should confirm applicable rates with their customs broker.
UK Customers
Post-Brexit, UK customers import under UK Global Tariff rates. Most electronic assemblies attract 0% duty under UK tariff schedules, though VAT applies at the point of import. Please confirm with HMRC or your customs broker.
