Why Choose Kingdta for Turnkey PCB Assembly?

Kingdta's turnkey PCB assembly service is the most comprehensive option for hardware teams who want to minimize supply chain complexity. You provide the design files — Gerber, BOM, and CPL — and we manage every subsequent step: PCB fabrication, full component procurement from authorized distributors, SMT and DIP assembly, soldering, cleaning, and functional testing.

This eliminates the coordination overhead of managing multiple suppliers and dramatically reduces the risk of component mismatch or quality inconsistency. Every order begins with a free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis by our engineering team, identifying potential issues before they become costly production defects.

Our MES digital factory system records every production step, component lot number, and test result, providing the full traceability documentation that regulated industries and quality-conscious customers require. From 5 prototype units to 5,000 production units, the same rigorous process applies.

Key Capabilities

  • PCB fabrication + assembly in a single order
  • Full BOM sourcing from Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, LCSC
  • Free DFM analysis before production starts
  • SMT + DIP mixed assembly supported
  • AOI, X-Ray, ICT and functional testing included
  • MES-tracked production with full component traceability
  • Anti-static packaging and global DHL/FedEx shipping
  • NDA and design confidentiality guaranteed

Customer Case Study — Industrial IoT

Turnkey PCBA for a Smart Factory Wireless Sensor Node

A UK-based industrial automation company developing a wireless sensor node for real-time machine health monitoring — requiring 500 units/month with full turnkey supply chain management.

The Problem

The customer had been managing their own component sourcing and working with a separate PCB fabrication supplier and a local assembly house. Lead time variability from three separate suppliers was causing production delays of 3–6 weeks per batch, and a shortage of the main MCU (STM32L4) caused a 10-week production halt.

Key Challenges

  • BOM of 87 line items including 0201 passives, 0.4mm pitch BLE SoC, and a custom-wound RF inductor
  • STM32L4 MCU on allocation — required alternative sourcing strategy
  • IP67 conformal coating required on assembled boards
  • 500 units/month with 4-week lead time — tight for a full turnkey supply chain
  • Functional test fixture required for 100% RF and sensor interface testing

Our Solution

We took over the complete supply chain, qualifying two alternative MCU sources (STM32L4 from Mouser and a pin-compatible NXP LPC55S66 as backup) to eliminate single-source risk. Our procurement team placed blanket orders for long-lead components covering 6 months of production. We built a custom functional test fixture that tests the BLE radio (RSSI and packet error rate), all sensor interfaces (I2C, SPI, ADC), and power consumption in sleep mode. Conformal coating was applied using selective spray coating to protect RF antenna areas. MES traceability records the component lot number, test result, and operator ID for every board.

Results & Outcomes

Lead time reduced from 8–14 weeks (variable) to 4 weeks (consistent) across 12 consecutive production lots
STM32L4 shortage mitigated — zero production stoppages in 18 months of production
Functional test first-pass yield 99.2% — exceeding the 98% target
Full MES traceability records available for every unit shipped

"Consolidating to a single turnkey supplier with Kingdta transformed our production planning. We went from firefighting component shortages to having a reliable 4-week lead time we can actually plan around. The functional test fixture they built catches issues we were previously finding in the field."
